Frequently Asked Questions / Categories / Si.Net FAQ

We have 2 products related to IDS:

Si.Net IDS is a Si.Net Intrusion Detection System
Si.Net Iwall is a firewall with built-in Intrusion Detection System

Si.Net boxes don’t have any limitations on the number of users of connections.

Si.Net Firewall and Si.net Iwall support the SSH protocol in transit like any other protocol.

A DHCP server is implemented on the internal zone (eth1) of the firewall. It can be disabled or enabled depending on the needs of the network. A configuration page included in the GUI can help you set the configuration of the DHCP server, enable or disable it and check its status.

Si.Net boxes support the below :

2 legs: 2 10/100 Mbps zones
3 legs: 3 10/100 Mbps zones
4 legs: 4 10/100/1000 Mbps zones
6 legs: 6 10/100/1000 Mbps zones

Hardware wise, the Si.Net boxes are upgradeable from 2, to 3 or 4 legs.

Si.Net products don’t support antivirus engines. Our company offers a partner mail filtering product containing antivirus and antispam engines.

Si.Net Firewall and Si.Net Iwall have a throuput of 85 Mbps for the 2 and 3 legs and 850 Mbps for the 4 and 6 legs. You can define up to 50.000 filtering rules and support unlimited number of users connected.
